Sharon asks about her horse's cut…

Hi there, I have just found a cut to my horses back fetlock, which appears to be a day old, I have bathed it and put antiseptic on it. Can you please advise me what else u can do. And when I should start riding/excersising her again. There is no lession, bad smell ect. and it seems to be healing.

Sharon A.

Sharon, our ugly, smelly Grape Balm ointment is the best antiseptic and healing substance I know. As for when to ride,,.  if hes not lame probably be ok when the skin is healed. If he is lame, I would for sure have checked locally which is always best anyway.
