I am lucky enough to have recently bought a farm outside of Portland Oregon, I have 10 acres to plant hay for our horses and am interested in the best most nutritious mix to plant. Any suggestions?
The 2 horses also have 10 acres + to graze all day.
"Perfect Pastures" is a good article that you’ll find in our Library and Mag links.
The mix I prefer is orchard grass and timothy each at 40 percent. Clover at 20 percent. Mix all together and sow. Wheat is fine in the past. Just not sure of chemicals that might have been used so I would check into that.
I would for sure suggest our Health Check and Red Cal to help support liver detox just in case!
Thanks for asking!
