Is there a limit to iron a horse should get?
In the Just add oats there is 7200 ppm.
The key is the source of the iron.
A lot of minerals including iron are other industries left overs. And as you know certain kinds of these can tie up other minerals as well as just allow the ability for more internal “rusting” or oxidation. (Another reason I suggest our antioxidants Health and Joint Check)
There are some supplements that are often prescribed even by veterinarians that have way to much iron in my opinion. Many are used for anemia conditions though most anemic conditions in horses in my opinion, generally speaking, are not even caused by iron deficiency.
I am very careful of such and you will find our products “sourced” good, adequate but Not excessive. Thanks for asking
